My name is Khaysirah; my partners and I established this website to combine skills and share our passion for helping others. My passions include for Public Service, Marketing, Personal Growth, and Youth Leadership Development.
As I begin my college career, I see myself as a social entrepreneur. I seek learning, work and service experiences that increase my ability to perform and influence acts of humanity everyday life. I see myself, someday, as a consultant helping others become influencing agents for human literacy (see working definition under Mursalata's profile)..
My experiences as an engaged youth shows, young adults need as much exposure to civic opportunities, interpersonal and philanthropic entrepreneurial skills as they need to explore college degrees.
My interests in Public Service, Marketing, Personal Growth, and Youth Leadership Development. fit well under the concept of Human Literacy. NOTE: Youth comprise the single largest most disenfranchised group on the planet.
I bring 13-years of community involvement and youth leadership experience to the start of my college career. I began honing my leadership skills as a Daisy Girl Scout while attending kindergarten at the Friends School in State College Pennsylvania. Over the past 12-years I have spent countless hours engaged in social change, as a Girl Scout (13yrs), a as a member of the Grand Rapids Community Foundation(4-yrs).
As I continue my college studies, I look forward to working with multi-generations and helping them create more inclusive organizations, learning and working environments.
Sincerely,
Khaysirah
