Welcome to HUMAN LITERACY CONSULTING

Human Literacy: is the process of becoming and being human through practices that require learning or relearning behaviors, which allow us to recognize our humanity and the humanity of others. The ability to recognize humanity as an interdependent relationship makes it impossible to negate another person's humanity without the expectation of dire consequences.

What We Do

We help people working within a variety of environments articulate their organization's inclusion or exclusion of Human Literacy practices in order to assess the potential of individual and collective success. We focus on three areas of Human Literacy:
  • Understanding an organization's humanity
  • (Re)discovering habits that shape and influence an organization's Human Literacy practices
  • Practice habits that make Human Literacy an integral part of organizational culture

How We Do This

We help organizations develop a sense and process for achieving Human Literacy by using a number of relational techniques. However, INQUIRY is our not-so-secret tool.
  • When you consult us, we ask you questions.
  • When you hire us, we ask you questions.
  • When we get to know you, we ask you more questions.

Three Reasons We Are Successful

Shifting paradigms is challenging work. Helping people within organizations understand how Human Literacy applies to their work environments requires paradigm shifts. Our INQUIRY approach allows us to ask the kinds of questions only those dedicated to CRITICAL THINKING pose. The kinds of questions children abashedly pose because they are geniuses interested relationships for the sake of understanding themselves and others.

Human Literacy Consulting is successful for the following reasons:

1. We think critically like second-graders.
2. We approach our work with an understanding of purpose and goal beyond the individual (summum bonum) and a humane philosophy (Ubuntu).
3. We deliver useful, reflective results organization can implement
